KEY WEST (June 21, 2022) – Race World Offshore (RWO) is excited to announce the addition of the Inaugural 7 Mile Offshore Grand Prix to the 2023 race schedule. The APBA National Series Race will kick off the season on April 28th – 30th in Marathon, Florida. Teams will race alongside the recently renovated 7 Mile Bridge. The bridge is an iconic structure in the Florida Keys that connects the middle keys to the lower keys.
RWO is excited to bring offshore racing back to Marathon and showcase the world’s best and fastest boats. Raceboats will navigate a new course in the Gulf of Mexico, close to shore, that allows fans to be up close. A unique twist, VIP tents and race day viewing has been granted to RWO on the 7 Mile Bridge.
“I have been talking about this for a couple years and I’m really looking forward to having a race here,” comments Larry Bleil, President of RWO. “It’s time we kick the season off a little sooner, with an APBA National Event and the weather here during April is perfect.”
Further course details, lodging and event details will be coming soon. Make sure to put the date on your calendar for 2023 as RWO kicks off the 2023 APBA National Race Series.
