RWO is bringing back UIM and Class 1 which holds the honors of being the fastest boats in the world. See some of the changes coming this season from RWO to Key West:
RWO UIM World Championship Experience
- Opening Ceremony in the Truman Waterfront Park
- Wednesday Race Truman Waterfront Cup and winners will be recognized with awards immediately after each race
- Friday Race Southernmost Continental Champion and winners will be recognized with awards immediately after each race
- Thursday & Saturday concert in Truman Waterfront Park (TWP)
- Friday Parade of boats on water with Florida Powerboat Club
- Online Registration for teams convenience (required)
- 2nd Annual Build-A-Boat Contest
- Build-A-Boat to include USCG, Fire, Police, Community & Race Teams
- Online hospitality ticket sales for convenience
- Water shuttle on race day for XINSURANCE Outer Mole VIP guests – Easy walk from Duval
- Saturday concert in TWP
- Sunday UIM World Champion Awards & Closing Ceremonies in TWP Amphitheater immediately following final Sunday race
- Awards Ceremony to include public
Race Teams See Important Details
Online Registration and No Equipment Fees
RWO is working on the final details that pertain to race teams for Key West. U.S & teams from around the world are preparing for Key West and we expect this season to be fantastic. Please note the following details that may answer some of your questions:
- All equipment fees waived
- Registration is online (mandatory) and paid in advance
- Team Owners can pay for crew memberships, crew members must complete their own online registration
- RWO is recognizing & welcoming UIM & APBA Offshore Classes
- First drivers meeting will be on Tuesday November 5th in TWP
- Friday Duval Street Party with boats is first come first serve online registration
- Street Party entries must accompany Event & Membership Registration & payment
- When capacity is met we will note it right here. Placement of boats is at the discretion of RWO not in the order of paid applications. Capacity very limited.
