This past weekend, the LOTO Powerboat Competition took place on the Lake of the Ozarks, which many of our well known race teams are happy to call their home lake. In the Super Cat class alone, 4 out of 8 of the teams are local to the LOTO area. While one would think that might give them a slight advantage over out-of-town competition, Wayne Valder from Valder Yachts/Pro Floors Racing was prepared and wanted to beat the ‘locals’ on their own water. He knew this would be a tough race but came in strong and ultimately took the checkered flag for the event.
Super Stock and 450R Factory Stock classes also included local LOTO competitors that had many fans come out and support them. Racers reported that overall this was a great weekend for offshore racing and were excited to have their families and friends be able to join their weekend of events!
